Devlog #2: Introducing Dark Lotus - Exploring Perspectives


Greetings, fellow adventurers! Welcome back to another exciting update on our journey with "Dark Lotus." Today, we're thrilled to share that we've developed a basic demo showcasing the first ideas of our game.

Movement Showcase

In this early demo, players can experience switching between two distinct perspectives of the environment (Pressing ''F'') As you toggle between these views, you'll notice some changes in the layout of the world. What might appear as a solid column in one could reveal a platform on the other.

Meet Our Knight

Our principal character, the Knight, is beginning to take shape. We're excited to reveal some sprite designs for our valiant protagonist.


Meet Our First Enemy: The Crimson Bat

We are thrilled to introduce you the Crimson Bat. This bloodthirsty creature prowls the dark corners of our dark fantasy world, posing a formidable challenge to our courageous Knight.



Development Details

As promised, our development remains rooted in the Godot game engine, utilizing a blend of freely available assets and our own in-house creations. In this experience we have used the next free assets from itch.io:
